In order to get into shows,
students must first pass ‘Rock 101’.
They are evaluated by instructors
on their ability to perform certain tasks,
& knowledge of these requirements:
Guitar & Bass Students:
1. Know Note names on E & A strings
2. Know how to Read & write basic charts
3. Know Chords: ‘Power Chords’ in all keys,
& ‘Open Chords': E, G, C, A D.
4. Know Scales: Major, Minor,
& Pentatonic Scales in all keys.
5. Understand a “I–IV–V” (1-4-5) change,
& how to play it in any key.
6. Your instrument must be tuned
before entering a rehearsal room.

7. Have your white 3-ring binder,
(with pen & paper for taking notes)
& charts, music & CD’s for assigned music.
